Rhonda’s Tree Delivers a Message: “I’m Watching Over the Twins”
❤️🎁🎈🎉Today is my youngest sister, Rhonda’s birthday. It will be five years next month that she died in her sleep two weeks before Christmas. On the night of December 10, 2013, almost two years after Adam died, I was sitting up in bed when all of a sudden, there was Rhonda in living color in my head! Giddy with joy, she was twirling and dancing in celebration.
Cindy: Rhonda! What are you doing in my head?
Rhonda: I’m in Heaven.
Cindy: What are you doing in Heaven?
Rhonda: It’s so beautiful!
Cindy: That’s what they all say.
Rhonda: I’m with Adam.
Five days earlier, I’d had a premonition that Rhonda may be leaving soon, so when she said, “I’m with Adam,” it was all too real. My eyes flew open and I woke my husband Greg to tell him what happened.
At 8:30 the next morning, the phone rang. It was my mom calling to let me know that my sister had died in her sleep.
I still think of Rhonda every day. I spend lots of time outdoors next to Rhonda Tree, a gorgeous Norfolk Island pine Greg gave me in memory of my sister. Like my sister, Rhonda, Rhonda Tree loves to dance. Also like Rhonda, her tree occasionally communicates with me.
For those of us who practice shamanism, communicating with nature spirits is commonplace, so when Rhonda Tree asked me to take her picture a couple of weeks ago, the only thing strange about it, was the fact that I already have so many photos of Rhonda Tree that I didn’t see the point.
Rhonda Tree: Take my picture.
Cin: (Reading in my hammock) Why? It’ll look just like all the others.
Rhonda Tree: Just do it. Take my picture.
I took the photo.
Cin: It looks like all the others.
Rhonda Tree: Look closer.
I zoomed in on the photo and examined it. There were two tiny blood oranges on the little fruit tree next to Rhonda Tree, each one protected by one of her branches. 💚🌲💚
I sent the photo to my nephew, Rhonda’s only child. The photo he sent back is nothing short of incredible, given how closely the “Baby Oranges” protected by Rhonda Tree’s branches resemble the two tiny babies in the ultrasound photo. Rhonda’s son and his girlfriend are expecting twins. 👶👶
Rhonda, thank you for delivering the news that you’re going to be a Grandmother in such a deeply personal way that it leaves absolutely no doubt that you are watching over them. 🙏😇
So, Happy Birthday, Rhonda! I’ll celebrate your special day with a Starbucks ☕️ and a cake pop 🍡 just like we did on your last birthday in 2013 when you spilled a ton of glitter hearts out of your birthday card onto the ground and refused to get off your hands and knees until you retrieved every single one of them! ❤️ 😃 💛 😆💚😂💙 🤣 💜
