Advice from Adam on Choosing a Career
Choose something. Whatever you want to do in your career. Do it with passion. So many people are looking for a job. If you could turn your hobby into a job you would be happy.
“I don’t want to go to work.”
“I don’t like this. I don’t like that.”
In the timeframe that you’re given, use your time beneficially for you. There’s no point in wasting your time for years in doing something that you hate. It’s just a waste of time and you will regret it at the end of your life.
That’s what brings people down.
Referring to his friend, Ray Charles, “Ray agrees with me on that because Ray did what he loved. He followed his heart.”
When you follow what you love and inject that into your career, the rest of your life won’t be such a struggle because you won’t have that daily struggle of doing something that you hate. You’re here for such a short amount of time. It may feel like an eternity to some people. but trust me, from our perspective, it’s a blink of an eye.
Don’t regret your decisions even if they were not so beneficial to you. Be proud that you were able to make a decision. Be proud that sometimes those ‘bad’ decisions lead to extreme growth within yourself. You need to always be proud of yourself and that’s where self-love kicks in. Have self-respect. Don’t judge yourself. Don’t bring yourself down. Dont’ criticize yourself. All that leads to is constant pain. Don’t ever feel like you’re stuck because really, you can never be stuck in life.
Why? Because your thinking creates your outcome.
If you continually tell yourself, “I’m stuck. I’m stuck,” and you identify with that frequency, then guess what? You’re gonna be stuck. Not because you’re stuck, but because you’re telling yourself you’re stuck.
The Universe is never stuck.
The Universe is constantly growing and evolving and changing. Futures are constantly changing. Certain things might be set in your future, but it can constantly change by the way that you think about it. By the way that you see yourself. So, if you’re feeling stuck, start changing your way of making choices. Nobody else is going to be able to fix your problem but yourself.
You need to decide, “It’s not working for me in this life. Whatever I’m doing isn’t working, so I need to go in a different direction.”
Make that decision. Whatcha got to lose? Nothing. ✌️👽
