Give Someone the Gift of Life: Be an Organ Donor
This week is Adam’s 8th Angelversary. The car accident occurred just after 2:00 am on January 23, 2011. At 11:00 am on January 24th, Adam was declared dead due to severe traumatic brain injury. On, January 26th, the only day of the year we celebrate two birthdays, Adam’s Grandpa Jim and cousin Lauren, Adam donated his lungs, liver, pancreas, and kidneys.
Adam’s lungs saved the life of a man in Arizona. Adam’s liver saved the life of a woman in Indiana, where I was born. His pancreas and kidneys greatly improved the lives of three individuals with diabetes and kidney disease.
Because Adam began communicating with me while his body was still on life support to prove to me that he is still here, I made it my life’s purpose to find out where what Adam referred to as ‘here’ is. We’ve broken all the rules (including ending the previous sentence with a preposition). 🙃
Our work together has helped so many with their own spiritual quest. I’ve received such beautiful stories of healing and of Adam’s having prevented several suicides. A young mother planned to end her life when she found our YouTube channel. Adam’s photo is her screensaver. She feels him watching over her and likes to pretend
I’ve had only a few sad moments this week as Adam is with me and he knows how very much I love him. For me, the loss was of Adam’s physical presence. The work we do together to help others every single day helps to make my having to give Adam back to the Universe worthwhile.
The day he donated his organs I asked Adam, “Are you where you want to be?”
His answer? “I would never trade places.”
Happy 8th Angelversary, Adam. ✨💜✨
