Is she crazy or is she channeling the trees?
In this photo, taken in Guerneville, California on Saturday, September 30, 2017 there appear to be trees to the left of the gate. See the “ghost trees” in the close-up photo on the right. There are actually NO trees in that spot as seen in the photograph below. Could the trees be warning of impending danger?
Oh, that sounds crazy? Well, read on.
Greg and I spent the afternoon with our friends Valerie, Carolyn, and Ron at the Center for Sacred Studies in Guerneville where Valerie works. Carolyn Ford, the guardian of Einstein the Crystal Skull, and her partner, Ron, were the featured presenters that weekend.
As the five of us were leaving for dinner, Carolyn pointed out a woman I’d seen through the window earlier.
“That poor woman. Valerie says she harmless. She’s been here all day. She keeps talking about the trees and how no one will listen.”
Having worked with individuals with schizophrenia in the past, I knew first-hand that sometimes what they are saying isn’t as crazy as it seems. I once had a client who, I had been warned, was obsessed with the idea that people were coming in her window at night and painting arrows on her ceiling.
“No matter where we move her, they seem to find her and come in and paint more arrows.”
I asked my client to show me the arrows. The “arrows” were caused by the tip of the paintbrush touching the ceiling as the painter finished the last two or three inches of space where the roller had left off. Each time a new landlord whitewashed my client’s wall in preparation for her arrival, a new set of “arrows” was waiting. It was a matter of false attribution theory rather than a hallucination.
I strained my ears to hear what the ‘schizophrenic’ woman at the Center for Sacred Studies was saying.
“The trees are screaming. The trees are crying. Somebody please listen. The trees are so scared. The trees are so scared and nobody will listen.”
Just over a week later, a devastating wild fire broke out in Sonoma County.
11 Dead As Fires Devastate Sonoma, Napa Counties
Authorities Monday confirmed 11 fatalities in Napa and Sonoma counties as a result of the wind-driven wildfires that broke out Sunday — nine in Sonoma County and two in the Atlas Fire in Napa County.
Could this ‘schizophrenic’ woman have been channeling the trees?
Could the trees have shown up in my photo in an attempt to find someone who will listen?
